dinner with Professor Arlindo Oliveira

We are pleased to invite you to an exclusive dinner with Professor Arlindo Oliveira, academic professor, researcher and President of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), on the 10th of October.

Professor Arlindo Oliveira obtained a PhD from UC Berkeley in 1994, under a Fulbright fellowship, after a BSc and a MSc from IST, in 1986 and 1989, respectively.

Our guest's major areas of interest are Algorithms and Complexity, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics and Digital Circuit Design. He is a member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering and has worked at one of most prestigious scientific centres - CERN.

Presently, Professor Arlindo Oliveira teaches at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico, where he is since 2012, the President and member of the executive board.
